Digestive System
The process called digestion allows your body to get the nutrients and energy it needs from the food you eat. The digestive system is a complex tube-like series of organs and glands that breaks the food down into small molecules that the body can process. It also excretes waste.
Cholesterol
Cholesterol is a fat made by the body that is essential good for health. However, a high cholesterol level in the blood increases the risk of coronary heart disease and disease of the arteries. High cholesterol causes blood vessels to become narrowed by plaques which can result in heart attacks, strokes and blood vessel problems. There is a wide range of food supplements such as fish oils, minerals and vitamins that have proven results to lowering cholesterol.
Migraine
A migraine is a severe, throbbing headache that usually begins on one side of the head but may affect the whole head. Other symptoms include nausea, painful aversion to light and loss of appetite.
Nausea
Nausea is an overall uncomfortable woozy feeling that is often accompanied by sweating, chills or increased saliva production. Nausea can be caused by eating spoiled or rich food, overindulging, strong smells, stress, anxiety, motion sickness, illnesses such as the flu, medications, illegal drugs and too much alcohol.
Anxiety
Anxiety is a healthy response to potentially dangerous situation. Muscles tense, heartbeat and breathing rate increase as the body prepares to defend itself. Some people experience anxiety even when there is no obvious threat. Such a reaction which symptoms may include extreme fear, excessive perspiration, chills or hot flashes, can cause exhaustion, headaches, stomach problems and an increase in blood pressure.
Insomnia
Insomnia is the inability to fall asleep and it also involves sleep problems such as not being able to stay asleep or continually waking up earlier than planned. Insomnia is often related to stress or excitement.
Sedative
A Sedative is a substance that depresses the central nervous system, resulting in calmness, relaxation, reduction of anxiety, slowed breathing and sleepiness. Sedatives in larger doses will induce sleep.
